Birth date and the date of establishment of the Shereshevskii`s tobacco factory (now Public Limited Company "Grodno Tobacco Factory Neman)
Except the tobacco factory in Grodno the Shereshevskii had a cigarette-sleeve factory, which was founded in 1880.
Shershevsky was based cigarette-sleeve factory in Grodno. In 1882 the cigarettes from the Grodno tobacco factory were awarded medals of Alexander the Emperor of Russia at the industrial exhibition in Moscow.

Thanks to this equipment the factory received an opportunity to produce competitive tobacco items of the same quality with other tobacco items from all over the world
The Grodno Tobacco Factory has carried the rich traditions and the high name through all history to our time. The fact, that the products by "Neman" were awarded three medals at the International specialized exhibition "Beverages and Tobacco@, which took place in Moscow, is a confirmation of the previous sentence. The filter cigarettes "GTF classic" were awarded "Gold" medal, filtered cigarettes "Minsk" and "Space" - "Silver".
In early 2009 the factory purchased and installed a modern highly productive equipment to organize the release of Super slims size and King size cigarettes from German companies «Hauni» and «Focke»
We are to say that today the Grodno Tobacco factory "Neman" doesn`t stand still because the park of the process equipment is constantly renewed to provide the production of the demanded kinds of goods.

The System of quality management (SQM) of PLC "Grodno Tobacco Factory Neman is based on the principles of integrated management. Among which the leadership of the chief and involvement of the whole staff into SQM are prevailed. The system of a quality management extending on «Working up and manufacture of filter cigarettes» is certificated in National certification system of the Republic of Belarus in conformity with requirements of STB ISO 9001- 2001. An implementing of The System of quality management helped to concretize various procedures and compiling documentation in executing of sales of raw materials, evaluation of suppliers, solving complicated problems of identification of raw materials and ready products at all stages of production. Internal audits can periodically evaluate its effectiveness; confirm that the management system corresponds to planned activities and established requirements. An output is carried out with taking into account the systematic analysis of quality of products with the use of static methods. Procedures which are based on an application of statistical techniques provide: • Evaluation and selection of suppliers • Stability of technological processes • An output of the production of a consistent quality • Prevention of release of nonconforming products The most relevant criteria are the next: reproducibility, deviation of the process and the share of risk of the consumer. When approaching the above criteria to allowable limits, the process is adjusted, what provides the output corresponding to the type requirements TRLA. Fund of technical regulation legal acts (TRLA) and technical documentation (instructions, regulations, procedures) includes more than 600 documents. The percentage of certified products in total output is 100%. Laboratory specialized in control of production is accredited for technical competence in accordance with STB ISO 17025. Special inspectors are ready to conduct operational quality control of cigarettes in the system FPI, QA-SY «British American Tobacco Trading Company (BAT). GTF Niemen was awarded the first prize of an executive committee in 2007 for it`s achievements and high results in quality assurance and implementation of high-quality management.
